Carole Walther has more than twenty years’ experience as a paralegal in the administration of estates and trusts. This experience includes assisting attorneys with all types of probate court documents; working with clients to gather information for estate tax, gift tax, and fiduciary income tax returns; assisting attorneys with preparing personal income tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns for estates and trusts, estate and gift tax returns, and returns for private foundations; arranging with realtors, appraisers, and auction houses to value client property for transfer tax returns; assisting attorneys and clients in the liquidation, collection, and distribution of trust and estate assets; and working with clients' bankers, brokers, transfer agents, and financial advisors to transfer assets and coordinate beneficiary designations according to the attorneys' estate planning recommendations.
Carole received a B.S. from the University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois, and a Paralegal Certificate from Mercy College, White Plains, New York. She is a member of the Illinois Paralegal Association and its Estates, Wills and Trusts specialty section.
