Mr. Newlin's extensive estate planning experience includes developing and implementing complex estate plans using cutting-edge techniques for individuals and families with up to $2 billion in current assets. He also assists clients with premarital agreements, advises families on succession planning for closely held businesses, counsels foreign individuals concerning international estate planning problems and guides both individual patients and health care providers in using advance medical directives.

Mr. Newlin also has extensive experience in the administration of guardianship and decedents’ estates and all forms of trusts. This work includes post-mortem tax planning, tax compliance and tax controversy work as well as trusts and estates litigation matters.

Other areas in which Mr. Newlin has significant experience include charitable planned giving and the establishment and administration of charities and other tax exempt organizations.
